Our take on the 36-inch Universal Telescopic Downdraft System - Stainless Steel
This GE 36-inch downdraft system rises from the countertop beside the cooktop when you need it and sinks back out of sight when you don't, keeping your kitchen view uncluttered. Its 500 CFM venting works to pull away smoke, grease, odor, and moisture, and four fan speeds let you match the airflow to whatever you're cooking. The stainless steel finish fits neatly alongside other stainless appliances.
It suits cooks who want capture at the cooktop without a hood hanging overhead, particularly in open layouts where sightlines matter. Before buying, confirm that a 36-inch width matches your cooktop, check that your countertop and cabinetry allow for the unit's installation, and plan how the air will be vented out of your home.
