KitchenAid 30'' Wall-Mount, 4 Speed Canopy Hood

Our take on the 30'' Wall-Mount, 4 Speed Canopy Hood

This wall-mounted canopy hood from KitchenAid offers four fan speeds and is built to draw smoke, grease and odors away from a cooktop of up to 65K BTUs. A built-in sensor watches for rising heat from the cooking surface and raises the fan speed when temperatures climb, then eases back once things cool. A 15-minute timed fan setting lets the hood keep clearing the air after you finish cooking, and the light offers two intensity levels plus an infinitely adjustable task light for the work surface below.

This model suits shoppers who want a 30-inch hood mounted on the wall above a cooktop with a higher heat output. Before buying, check that the 30-inch width matches your cooktop or range, confirm the cooktop's BTU rating falls within the stated 65K limit, and make sure your wall and ductwork setup will accommodate the venting arrangement you plan to use.
