Whirlpool 1.1 CuFt 1000 Watt Over-The-Range Microwave In Black

Our take on the 1.1 CuFt 1000 Watt Over-The-Range Microwave In Black

This over-the-range microwave from Whirlpool, model WML35011KB, comes in a sleek black finish and offers 1.1 cubic feet of cooking space with 1,000 watts of power. It is designed to clear smoke, odor and moisture much like a standard range hood, freeing up your countertop. Its low profile sits within the same footprint as an undercabinet hood, and the turntable can go in the dishwasher, which makes cleanup after spills simple.

This model suits shoppers who want to combine a microwave and ventilation in one unit and keep counter space open. Before buying, measure the space under your cabinets so the low profile will fit your existing hood area, and confirm that the cabinet opening matches the unit's dimensions. Check your kitchen's wiring and venting arrangement as well, and consider how the black finish will look alongside your other appliances.
