Our take on the 30" Convertible 400 CFM Under-Cabinet Hood - Stainless Steel

This Whirlpool under-cabinet hood is designed to keep the air in your kitchen clear while you cook. Its 3-speed centrifugal blower moves up to 400 CFM to pull away steam, smoke and cooking odors, and halogen lights brighten the cooktop below. The stainless steel finish suits a range of kitchen styles, and the hood can be set up to vent outdoors or recirculate air through charcoal filters.

This model suits a shopper looking for a 30-inch hood that handles everyday cooking smells and steam with a choice of venting setups. Before buying, check that the 30-inch width matches your cooktop or range, confirm the space under your cabinet, and decide whether you'll vent outside or use recirculation with charcoal filters, since the filters are only for recirculating installations.
