KitchenAid 30-inch Electric Cooktop -Black

Our take on the 30-inch Electric Cooktop -Black

This 30-inch electric cooktop from KitchenAid, model KCES550HBL, comes in a black finish and offers a set of burners built for different cooking tasks. Its largest element is a 10-inch unit with a simmer setting, paired with a 6-inch burner that includes a melt setting for gentler heat. A dual-ring round element lets you switch between a 10-inch and a 6-inch cooking area, so it can handle large stock pots as easily as a six-inch saute pan, with strong output for rapid boiling, searing and wok cooking.

This model may suit shoppers who want a sleek, traditional-looking cooktop with flexible burner sizes for everyday meals. Before buying, confirm that the 30-inch width matches your countertop opening and that your kitchen has the electric hookup this cooktop requires. Check the clearance and ventilation around your installation as well, and consider whether the black finish fits the rest of your kitchen.
